Earth Day of Service 2023

Saturday, April 15th, 2023 from 9:00am to 12:30pm

About

Earth Day of Service is the final large day of service that the Center for Leadership & Civic Engagement offers throughout the year.  It is an easy way to volunteer in the community without having to volunteer on your own or navigate finding potential sites on your own. There are three parts of a day of service at ECU:

Due to Pirate Fest being on this same day, we will NOT be doing in-person reflection so you will be done with Earth Day of Service at 12:30 PM and can still spend the rest of the day at Pirate Fest!

  1. Check-In & Kick-off with Keynote Speaker in MCSC Blackbox Theater (9:00-10:00 AM)
  2. Service at various locations (10:30 AM - 12:30 PM - two hours)

You should register to attend the Check-In & Kick-off and ONE service site.

Transportation to volunteer sites may or may not be provided, please read the details for each site before choosing a volunteer site. Some sites are on campus, others are within walking distance, some have transportation provided, and some you must drive yourself or carpool with a friend. Some sites have specific dress requirements and/or require vaccination, or a separate volunteer form or link that you must complete prior to the day of service.

Should you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Alex Dennis, Assistant Director in CLCE -
