About

Join fellow park and trail lovers at Beverly S. Sheffield Northwest District Park for our bi-annual park love fest. Our goals are to protect the footpath on the Shoal Creek Dam/levee and to replenish the soil in the natural area adjacent to the playscape above the Davis/Green Acres Branch of Shoal Creek. This involves applying a deep layer of mulch to both areas. Please bring a water bottle, gloves, rakes, shovels, and wheelbarrows if you have them. Wear long sleeves and pants that can get dirty and protect you from poison ivy in the area. Meet at the east parking lot at the end of Ardath St for a 9 AM start. Volunteers will split into two groups; one group mulches the grow zone with the second group focuses on the footpath on the dam/levee near the baseball field. Of course, you will receive an AWESOME It's My Park Day t-shirt designed by local artists, day-of treats from local businesses, and the satisfaction of giving back to our park!

NEW ADDITION – ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS!  Fun science and scavenger hunt. Ideal for kids aged 6 and up.
