About
Day of: What to bring/wear
There are items we use to create our group kits that need sorting and counting. Those items include trash bags, recycling bags, sharps containers, hand sanitizer, nitrile gloves etc. Please wear clothing that will allow you to move easily and close-toed shoes.
Snacks/drinks
Light refreshments will be provided, but it is highly encouraged to bring a lunch as it will not be provided. You are more than welcome to take breaks as needed during the duration of your volunteer shift.
Please note that you may be standing for extended periods of time and doing frequent bending/lifting during the kit preparation process.
When Arriving
KAB is located at 2200 East Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
When arriving please call our number at (512) 391-0617 x 700.
