Shoal Creek Cleanup at The Grove Signature Park

Join Keep Austin Beautiful at The Grove Signature Park to clean up litter from in and around Shoal Creek and learn more about how you can protect your local creek at noon on Friday, February 16th!

We will provide cleanup supplies on site as well as sunscreen and bug spray. We will meet in the center of the park by the lake before heading to the creekside - look for the Keep Austin Beautiful event table and signage! Please note that conditions near the creek here are rocky and steep - it can be difficult to traverse the areas with the most trash in or near the creekbed!

Please remember to wear close-toed shoes and durable clothing as the terrain may be rough in some areas. Conditions may be wet as we will be working along the creek; please dress appropriately!  Long pants and a hat are also recommended. Be sure to bring a water bottle and stay hydrated. For volunteers with limited mobility, it is recommended to stay along main trails and pathways. Areas closer to the creek side may present an additional challenge.

When arriving at the park, please remember to hide any valuables and lock your car before checking in. Parking is available in the lots on site within the park. Carpooling is highly encouraged!
