About
We will be cleaning a small creek tributary that is filled with hundreds of pounds of styrofoam, plastic, textiles, tires and other trash washed down from the streets into this pretty and open site. We will provide trash grabbers, garbage bags, and some gloves, but if you have your own favorite work gloves definitely bring them.
The creek bed is often dry and easy to walk in, but spots can be a little muddy after a rain.
Preventing plastics from going to the rivers and oceans is a great way to save wildlife from potentially eating it or getting tangled up in it. Your efforts will make a big difference at this event and for the environment! 🙂
Volunteers should wear: sturdy thick-soled shoes that can get muddy, long pants, long-sleeved shirt, hats and sunscreen. Please bring your favorite tough gardening gloves.
Ages 16 and above only: the site does have a few areas not safe for children.
