This has ended. If you attended, let the organizer know by recording your Impact!

About

All hands on deck! We desperately need help clearing brush before the city's bulk pickup next week.

Volunteers will help us prune vines on our fence, trim shrubs, and remove invasive saplings. We will also be mowing and spreading mulch.

Please no children under 12 or animals.

VOLUNTEERS SHOULD BRING/WEAR

  • Closed toe shoes are required. Long sleeves recommended.
  • Reusable water bottle (we'll have a refill station)
  • Bug spray and sunscreen
  • Pruning shears/loppers and work gloves if you have them
  • Bluetooth speakers and a friend. Let's make this fun and get the work done faster!

Located in the Blackland Neighborhood of East Austin, Alamo Community Garden is one of the city's oldest community gardens. Our members grow organic produce to feed their families and their community. We are a 100% volunteer-run organization that works hard to give our neighbors a safe space to grow and learn. The Sustainable Food Center is our landowner and fiscal sponsor. Gardening isn't easy and we appreciate your support!
