A.B. Dittmar Park - Fall 2024 It's My Park Day

Join your fellow park lovers as we give back at Dittmar Neighborhood Park! We'll spend the day mulching trailheads and removing trash from the trail, creek bed, and park grounds! Volunteers get the satisfaction of giving back and of course, an AWESOME It's My Park Day T-shirt designed by local artists! 

We will provide tools and gloves but PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN WATER BOTTLE and wear work appropriate clothing. We'll meet under the blue tent near the playing field behind the Recreation Center and get started right at 9am. 

Some notes for our volunteers: 

• For those interested in picking up trash: Much of the trash is located down in the creek and back on the heavily-wooded trails. Please make sure to wear appropriate clothing to protect yourself. We will provide gloves and trash pickers. 
• POISON IVY ALERT: We know for a fact that there is poison ivy back on the trail where much of our work will be done. If you know you are allergic to or have a bad reaction to poison ivy, painting or litter pick-up might be a better option for you. For those working on the trails, it is suggested that you wear long sleeves and long pants to protect yourself.
