About
The Tar River Community Science Festival will soon be back for 2024! This festival celebrates our river, community, and relationship to one another. Like the years before, we will be hosting fun activities to expose people of all ages to science and promote shared learning about challenges faced by different communities in Eastern North Carolina. Our goal is to brainstorm together about possible solutions for water-related issues and build awareness around environmental challenges in our region.
By volunteering you will sign up for a shift (8:00am-11:00am; 10:45-2:00pm; 2:00-5:00pm; 11:00-4:00pm) and assist with various operations occurring during the festival. This is a great opportunity to help inspire STEM education in community members of all ages, young or old.
By volunteering at this event you will receive:
-Food vouchers to eat FREE at attending food trucks.
-A FREE T-shirt to wear while volunteering.
-Service hours for clubs, organizations, etc.
To fully register for this event you must complete the Qualtrics form at THIS LINK.
