Hurricane Helene has left many families displaced, homes destroyed, and essential services disrupted. ECU is dedicated to restoring hope and fostering long-term recovery in partnership with local agencies, charities, and volunteers.
Volunteer Opportunity: ECU and the Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement are hosting a donation drive from Wednesday, October 9th through Friday, October 11th, on both Main Campus and Health Sciences Campus. Volunteers are needed to help unload, sort, and organize donations. When signing up, please make sure to select the correct campus location.
What to Wear:
- Comfortable clothing
- Closed-toed shoes
- Be prepared for lifting and sorting items

Who Can Volunteer: All ECU students, faculty, and staff are welcome! Sign up for any shift(s) that fit your schedule.

I participated in Shift 3 on Thursday Oct. 10 from 12-2 at the Health Sciences Campus. There were no donation drop offs during my shift. However, I met other Honors College members, walked around the Health Sciences campus, and talked with ECU faculty.
