Thursday - Spring 2025 Afternoon Programs - esp Athens

Ten weeks of life-changing volunteering! Join our after-school program every Thursday from 3:45 pm - 6:15pm starting January 23rd (training will be Thursday, Jan. 16h).  Our afternoon program gives our participants the chance to become star athletes and world-renown artists through classes like Miracle League, Get Fit, Get Crafty, Cooking, and Music Therapy. This afternoon programming provides purposeful recreation for our participants to learn new skills, gain confidence, strengthen their abilities, and make lasting friendships. As an afternoon program volunteer, your responsibility would involve being a best friend ("buddy") to one of our participants.

Age Limit: Volunteers should be age 14 or older!

Important note: To accept this position, you MUST commit to all available weeks of this program. You will see these dates after clicking the register button, and then you should click next to all Monday dates shown. This allows us to partner you with a participant, then allows that participant to count on you to be their "buddy" every week! If you decide to no longer volunteer with us, please unregister to allow others a spot.

In-person training attendance is preferred. If you need virtual training you must provide a reason (email gracie@espyouandme.org). Once the virtual training option is recorded I will link it HERE. If it isn't here then I haven't finished it yet. Thank you for your patience!
