Renew x Crossroads "Adopt The Block" Community Service Event

Are you a college student wanting to give your time and service to make an impact?

In need of community service hours?

Or just have the heart to serve and want to experience a community while doing so?

Well, we've got three words for you: "Adopt the Block"

On behalf of Renew Outreach X Crossroads College Ministry,

We're rolling up our sleeves and giving back!

Adopt the Block is our homelessness community service umbrella that houses our various initiatives to give back to our local Atlanta homeless community. We provide a variety of service opportunities and resources such as food, hygiene toiletry, clothing, etc items. We aim to cover our neighbors however we can, and have officially adopted the block in the local Atlanta surrounding community to help them in their time of need.

On Sunday, November 17th from 10:00AM EST to 3:00 PM EST, we've cooked up an amazing opportunity where we create, package, and distribute toiletry items through our Adopt the Block initiative to the local Atlanta homeless community. We're so excited to have you join us in this fun-filled day of service through "Word and Deed", catered for you to give back to our community that aligns with your passions, skills, and heart to serve. 

We want to thank you in advance for your service, and we cannot wait to see the impact you will make!

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

• Lunch will be served during the duration of your day of service.
• Location: The Believers House, Center Stage Theater 1374 West Peachtree St, Atlanta, GA 30309
• Transportation will also be provided for those without their own. See the pickup schedule below.
  • Upon arrival please sign in to the college lounge area and then head to the sanctuary area. 
• SHUTTLE SERVICE PICKUP TIMES AND CAMPUS LOCATIONS
  • GSU (Front University Commons) 9:30AM EST
  • AUC (Morehouse Entrance Turnaround) 9:15AM, 9:45AM, 10:15AM & 10:45AM EST
• Attire: Collegiate paraphernalia, jeans, or similar appropriate attire and comfortable Shoes.
• We ask that you remain present for the entire day to obtain unit hours of community service (i.e., item prep, fellowship and community handouts)
• If you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies please make a note within the form.
