About
UPDATE: if it is raining at 1:30-2:00 we will not be meeting, otherwise our event is still planned, and hope to see you there!
If you love trees and want to help our native trees at Red Bluff Nature Preserve in east Austin to be healthier, this is a great opportunity. We will be weeding non-native bushes and tree seedlings so our native trees can grow free without being crowded out or having to compete for water & nutrients.
This will involve some hand-pulling small plants and using wrench-levers to uproot some of the 2-4 foot tree seedlings too.
The site is open forest and fairly easy walking.
Come help out, get a good work out and burn some of those holiday calories!💪
Because we will be using tools and cutting/uprooting plants, this is for adult volunteers over 18.

- long sleeve shirts/sweatshirts
