MLK Day of Service 2025

Saturday, January 18th, 2025 from 9:00am to 2:00pm

About

MLK Day of Service is the second large day of service that the Center for Leadership & Civic Engagement offers throughout the year.  It is an easy way to volunteer in the community without having to volunteer on your own or navigate finding potential sites on your own. There are three parts of a day of service at ECU:

  1. Check-In & Kick-off with Keynote Speaker in MCSC Blackbox Theater (9:00-10:00 AM)
  2. Service at various locations (10:30 AM - 12:30 PM - two hours)
  3. Reflection & Closing in MCSC Blackbox Theater (1:00-2:00 PM)

You should register to attend the Check-In & Kick-off, ONE service site, and the Reflection & Closing.

Transportation to volunteer sites may or may not be provided, please read the details for each site before choosing a volunteer site. Some sites are on campus, others are within walking distance, some have transportation provided, and some you must drive yourself or carpool with a friend. Some sites have specific dress requirements, or a separate volunteer form or link that you must complete prior to the day of service.

Should you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Alex Dennis, Senior Assistant Director in CLCE -
dennisa15@ecu.edu.
