About

Environmental / Sustainability Volunteering – Invasive Species Pull

Join the Office of Sustainability in helping to preserve and safeguard the KSU Arboretum against encroachment by invasive species! Established in 1976, the arboretum preserves the original forested area. Volunteers would be assisting to manually pull and remove invasive eleagnos, hollies, and privet. There would no chemical treatments/pesticides applied.

Dress for the weather. Wear closed-toed shoes and sunglasses. Apply sunscreen and bug spray. Bring gloves if you have them.

Please meet at the KSU Arboretum Sign (located along Marietta Drive behind the Science Building (across from the black trash compactor). See the Kennesaw Interactive Campus Map. Please call (724) 825-3524 if lost.

Joining us from our Marietta Campus? Hop aboard the Big Owl Bus (Kennesaw/Marietta Route) for a free lift to and from Kennesaw. Track the Big Owl Bus through Passio GO.

Questions? Please reach out to Dajawn; Sustainability Program Specialist, AmeriCorps VISTA at dwill805@kennesaw.edu

Thank you and hope you can join us!
