Course Help shifts include Street Ambassadors, Route Director, and Relay Exchange Points.
- Street Ambassadors are a vital addition to the race course. They provide a visual for the runners along the race course to assure the runners they are on the right street. They also keep an eye out for approaching cars and direct traffic when needed. All Street Ambassadors will be provided with an orange safety vest, which must be picked up at the John A and Genny Morris Conservation Center on October 31st between 2PM and 5PM or November 1st between 10AM and 5PM. Once you have picked up your vest, all you have to do is show up for your shift.
- The Route Director is a very Important job! You will be directing runners at the half marathon/full marathon split- making sure runners go the right direction. Use Megaphone to direct runners to the correct route. Pick up megaphone at John and Genny Morris Convention Center during our expo on Friday from 2-6 p.m. or Saturday from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.
- Relay Exchange Points are an important spot to provide assistance to our relay groups. Volunteers will make sure relay members that are waiting are in the correct spot, and will help make sure the timing device is passed off correctly.
** We want your experience to be as easy and fun as possible. By receiving information ahead of time, you will know exactly what to do on Sunday, November 2, and therefore have a more enjoyable experience.

As a thank you, receive a volunteer shirt at the end of your shift! 😀To pick up your free volunteer t-shirt, report back to the John A and Genny Morris Conservation Center after your shift. You will also turn in your orange safety vest and cowbell at this time.
