About
We are in need of volunteers for our Stamp Out Hunger (SOH) event, which will take place on May 10th this year. Here are some details:
Here are some facts about SOH:
- Stamp Out Hunger (SOH) is a national event coordinated by the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC), sponsored by the service union and not the government.
- It is a 1-day food drive and occurs every year on the 2nd Saturday in May.
- Letter carriers voluntarily carrier out this service during their normal business hour routes.
- Each region decides how their sites collect and provide to participating organizations, our partnership collects from one postal sit site only.
The event will take place at the U.S. Postal Service Annex 2024 MacLand Crossing Marietta, GA 30008 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm. We will need help with sorting the nonperishable food items collected by local postal workers, assisting with loading the items at the post office onto our truck, and unloading the items at our facility after the last mail carrier returns that day (sometime between 6:30pm-7pm).
Would you be willing to volunteer with us for this event? If so, you can go to our volunteer calendar our website (thecfr.org), go down to May, click the Stamp Out Hunger link on May 10th, and procced to register for the shift.
Thank you for considering!
