About
Come join the ESP Bowling from 4pm to 6pm every Thursday, starting Thursday, September 11th at Showtime Bowl! Our bowling program provides purposeful and fun recreation for our participants to learn new skills, gain confidence, strengthen their abilities, and make lasting friendships.
Training: Monday/Wednesday Volunteers will have training on Wednesday, September 3rd and Tuesday/Thursday Volunteers will have training on Thursday, September 4th from 3:45-6:00PM. Mandatory training will be held at the ESP Building (189 VFW Dr. Watkinsville, GA). You do not need to come to both days. Please prioritize in person training, attending either day you are able to, with preference on September 4th. This is not where bowling will occur for the 10 week session. Bowling will begin with the participants at Showtime Bowl.
Important note: To accept this position, you must commit to all available weeks of this program. You will see these dates after clicking the register button, and then you should click next to all Thursday dates shown. This allows us to partner you with a participant, then allows that participant to count on you to be their "buddy" every week! If you can no longer attend, please unregister to allow someone else a spot.
Age Limit: Volunteers should be age 14 or older.
Fall afternoon programs are all 11 weeks long, but Thursday afternoon programs are 10 weeks to allow for our Bulldogs and Buddies event on October 23rd! If you sign up to volunteer with us on Thursday's you will get the chance to register first for this event!
While bowling is a wonderful opportunity to volunteer with esp, our Tuesday/Thursday programming at the building is also OUTSTANDING! Please consider volunteering your time at our 360 programs at the esp building.
In-person training attendance is preferred. If you need virtual training you must provide a reason (email kate@espyouandme.org). Once the virtual training option is recorded I will link it HERE. If it isn't here then I haven't finished it yet. Thank you for your patience!
