Help host a new writing meetup at the library! The Writers Cafe volunteer facilitator will be a friendly face and point of contact for the new drop-in Writers Cafe group at the Main library.
Volunteer responsibilities include:
- Setting up signs and notebooks in a reserved area of the Bookmark Cafe in the Main library
- Warmly greeting participants as they arrive
- Encouraging 30 minutes of quiet writing and 30 minutes of respectful discussion
- Answering general questions about the BoulderWrites program and giving directions within the library
- Cleaning up the space after the meetup ends
Volunteers in this role are asked to commit to at least one shift per month for six months. All volunteers will receive an orientation at the beginning of their first shift.

- Friendly and welcoming attitude
- Comfortable talking with members of the public
- Able to lift up to ten pounds
- Skills speaking languages other than English welcome but not required
Parking Details
If you drive to the library for your shift, please ask staff for a code for free parking.
