Lake Creek Trail Cleanup

Join Keep Austin Beautiful at the Lake Creek Trail to clean up litter from in and around Lake Creek and learn more about how you can protect your local creek at 12pm on Friday, January 30th!

We will provide cleanup supplies on site as well as sunscreen and bug spray. We will meet near the trailhead picnic area on Braes Valley St  - look for the Keep Austin Beautiful event table and signage!

Please remember to wear close-toed shoes and durable clothing as the terrain may be rough in some areas. Conditions may be wet as we will be working along the creek; please dress appropriately!  Long pants and a hat are also recommended. Be sure to bring a water bottle and stay hydrated. For volunteers with limited mobility, it is recommended to stay along main trails and pathways. Areas closer to the creek side may present an additional challenge.

When arriving at the park, please remember to hide any valuables and lock your car before checking in. Parking is available in the lot on site at the end of Braes Valley St. Carpooling is highly encouraged!

Youth Volunteers: All volunteers under the age of 18 must be registered by a parent or legal guardian. Independent registrations submitted by minors are not permitted.

A NOTE ON SAFETY: We encourage you to “See and Be Seen!” Be mindful of your fellow volunteers and maintain awareness of your surroundings at all times. Dial 911 in case of emergency.
