About
Join us on Saturday, January 10 to help maintain trails in Parque Zaragoza, the oldest park in East Austin. We'll be removing crab grass from trails in the center of the park. The location is Parque Zaragoza. The official address of the park is 2608 Gonzales Street, but the closest parking and access point is 2611 Webberville Road, where there is a parking lot next to the Parque Zaragoza neighborhood pool. The trails where we'll be working are 100 yards from the parking lot. The trails where we'll be working are level, but probably not ADA accessible. The project is sponsored by the Amigos de Parque Zaragoza and the Austin Parks Foundation. We will provide tools and gloves. Bring water and snacks.
This is light to medium work, suitable for adults and teens. It is an especially good project for a scout troop. We'll be working with hand tools, including shovels, rakes, and picks. Parking is available close by at 2611 Webberville Road, next to the Parque Zaragoza neighborhood pool. The project is sponsored by the Amigos de Parque Zaragoza and the Austin Parks Foundation. We will provide tools and gloves. Bring water and snacks. Long pants are recommended.
