Ready, Set, Plant! is a volunteer tree-planting program that plants 10,000 trees each year along Austin’s creeks and rivers. In partnership with the City of Austin and Keep Austin Beautiful, we educate volunteers on proper tree-planting techniques and riparian restoration. Some benefits of creekside planting include cooler water for aquatic life, erosion control, and filtering pollutants from stormwater. Our events are family-friendly and provide an opportunity for community members to connect with Austin’s public lands. All minors must be accompanied by a parent.
No experience or tools are needed. We will train everyone at the beginning of the event, and provide all tools, materials, gloves, water, and snacks.
*IMPORTANT: You MUST find Anna Pittala at the event and sign in with her to get your GivePulse volunteer hours.*
Please join us. Please register via the GivePulse website, so we know who to expect and so we can show your involvement. Parking is on-street, so carpooling is recommended if possible. There is Poison ivy in the area, so pants are recommended. Please wear closed-toe shoes. Hope to see y’all there!

Good afternoon volunteers,
A message from Tree Folks:
“Hello Volunteer,
Thank you so much for signing up to attend a Ready, Set, Plant sapling planting with TreeFolks! We will be planting 750 saplings (baby trees) tomorrow, Saturday, February 7, along the Williamson Creek greenbelt. We will meet at 5305 Meadow Creek Circle, Austin, TX 78745.
Free parking is available on Meadow Creek Drive and surrounding streets. Please be respectful of the neighbors and don't park in their driveways.
Volunteer check-in is at 9:00 am and the event goes until 1:00 pm, or until all the trees are planted.
When working outdoors, it is possible to come in contact with poison ivy, so TreeFolks requires volunteers to wear long pants and closed-toed shoes. TreeFolks will bring all the tools and materials needed as well as coffee, water, and light refreshments, but we do ask you to bring your own water bottle. TreeFolks provides onsite training at events, but to get a sneak peek at how we plant trees, follow this link. https://youtu.be/8jFiEycF7bA?si=RkzijkbRPG1iGgxz
If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to email volunteer@treefolks.org or call or text me at (512) 761-8738.
We look forward to having you!

Good evening volunteers,
I am looking forward to joining you all for the tree planting on Saturday morning. One of our guests who is proving the trees, Tree Folks, has requested that all of our volunteers also sign up with them as well. I apologize for the inconvenience, but if you would be so kind to register with them as well at: https://treefolks.dm.networkforgood.com/forms/volunteer-signup-rsp-12-meadow-creek-circle-2-7-26.
Please look for me at the event so I can check you in and you can get your GivePulse hours. I will have a balloon so you can find me.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your understanding,
Anna Pittala
