About
Organization: "Casa Marianella provides shelter, food and full supportive services to homeless immigrants and asylum seekers. Our aim is to provide residents with the tools they need to become fully self sufficient."
Project: The day will include an introduction to the worldwide refugee situation, applying for asylum, and the services of Casa Marianella. We will meet residents from around the world and hopefully talk to some of them. We will also do a project such as pointing or organizing donations.
The volunteers would wash walls, windows, and ceiling fans. Then they would tutor kids in English and play basketball with kids.
Expectations: Please bring a reusable water bottle. Be prepared to volunteer the entire time.
