About
Do some good while getting lost in a great story! The Library and the City of Boulder are teaming up for a creek clean-up designed for audiobook lovers. Bring your favorite audiobook, press play, and help care for the Boulder Creek path.
All supplies and safety instructions will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed‑toe shoes and come with your device (phone/headphones) and audiobook already downloaded and ready to go.
Volunteers will:
- Walk along the creek path and visually scan the area for litter and debris.
- Use the provided cleanup supplies (gloves, grabbers, and bags) to safely pick up trash.
- Place collected trash in designated bags or containers as instructed.
- Follow all safety guidelines while handling and disposing of materials.
- Enjoy an audiobook while cleaning up our shared creek path! 🎧📖🗑
Due to safety reasons, this volunteer opportunity is for individuals 18+ only.

Requirement Details
No prior experience needed! Please wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, etc. (All volunteers will be provided with sunscreen and water as needed.)
Volunteers should:
- Be able to walk along the creek path and stand or bend as needed
- Be willing to follow safety instructions and use provided tools properly
- Feel comfortable working outdoors
- Be able to work independently or as part of a small team
Parking Details
Parking is free for 90 minutes in the Arapahoe and Canyon Parking lots. When you arrive at your volunteer shift, Program Coordinator Emma will give you a code for the ParkMobile app for free parking for the duration of your volunteer shift.
