About
Join Keep Austin Beautiful at Mabel Davis Park to clean up litter from in and around Country Club Creek, manage invasive plants, plant natives, and learn more about how you can protect your local creek!
We will provide the necessary supplies and tools on site as well as sunscreen and bug spray. We will meet near the southeast end of the park close to the pond area - look for the Keep Austin Beautiful event table and signage!
Please remember to wear close-toed shoes and durable clothing as the terrain may be rough in some areas. Conditions may be wet as we will be working along the creek; please dress appropriately! Long pants and a hat are also recommended. Be sure to bring a water bottle and stay hydrated. For volunteers with limited mobility, it is recommended to stay along main trails and pathways. Areas closer to the creek side may present an additional challenge.
When arriving at the park, please remember to hide any valuables and lock your car before checking in. Parking is available in the lot within the park. Carpooling is highly encouraged!
Youth Volunteers: All volunteers under the age of 18 must be registered by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian must register and attend with the youth volunteer. Independent registrations submitted by minors are not permitted.
Pet Policy: For safety and liability reasons, pets are not permitted at volunteer events. Service animals are welcome.
A NOTE ON SAFETY: We encourage you to “See and Be Seen!” Be mindful of your fellow volunteers and maintain awareness of your surroundings at all times. Dial 911 in case of emergency.
