Be 4 The Change Back-2-School Bash

The Back-2-School Bash is a community impact initiative designed to support students and educators throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area as they prepare for a new academic year. Through a week-long school supply drive and community engagement event, Be 4 The Change will mobilize students across the Atlanta University Center (AUC) to donate essential educational materials that will directly benefit local youth.

Throughout the week leading up to the event, collection tables will be stationed on Brown Street and designated donation boxes will be placed in residence halls and other approved campus locations. AUC students, faculty, staff, and community members will be encouraged to donate school supplies such as notebooks, folders, pencils, pens, markers, calculators, backpacks, binders, and other classroom necessities.

On the day of the event, volunteers will assemble donated supplies into personalized "Back-to-School Goodie Bags" that will be distributed to a selected Atlanta-area school or nonprofit organization focused on education, youth development, mentorship, or academic enrichment. New Supplies are allowed to get dropped off the day of the event.

In addition to the supply drive, the event will feature local businesses, student entrepreneurs, and community organizations as vendors. Vendors will pay a participation fee to showcase and sell their products or services. Proceeds generated through vendor participation will be donated alongside the collected school supplies to support educational initiatives within the recipient community.
