The food forest is wonderful! The people who guided the volunteers such as I was were friendly, kind, and helpful. Unfortunately, I had taken my 7 year old grandson with me. He had enjoyed the two previous It's My Park Days that he attended, but he was not enjoying the gardening. He did enjoy helping to dig a large hole. I do not want him to have a negative view of this type of activity, so we left after a short period of time. Perhaps small doses at a time will bring him around. I very much enjoyed the time and work that were available to me.
