On this shift, I was able to tell fellow classmates and employees to where specifically the trash needed to be organized. On the last shift, I walked around with the posters and was not stationed in the recyclable bins but during this shift, I had more interactions with people. More people got aware of where to categorize the trash and where to place the compost material. A teacher from one of the schools were so impressed that she even asked the proctor of the event more information on how to start this in her campus.
I educated people on how to compose their trash
It was pretty interesting on how many people actually stand there and recycle all their items instead of just throwing everything in the landfill.
It was good I just wished we had more opportunity to expand the flyers
Volunteering for the Love Your Leftovers Campaign for the second time was as much fun as the first. It was also great to meet other volunteers who have concern about proper composting and recycle as much as I do. [Second Shift]
