I volunteered as a mentor. I was a "Table Floater" and I really enjoyed my job. My role was to go around to different tables and answer any questions and make sure that students were putting the right things into their bags. I also helped set up and clean up. I had a lot of fun helping students create care packages for the homeless population in Austin and it was so nice seeing some of my mentees coming to the event!
I really enjoyed going the end of year event. It felt nice knowing that we were giving back to the Austin community, especially essentials that we know can help the homeless get back on their feet.
I put together bags for the homeless community and decorated them with holiday season.
It felt good to give back to the homeless and make care packages this season. There were free cookies and water, and lots of supplies going around! I just wish we would've had more to give.
