Garden and Orchard Workday

We got to the site and there were a ton of people already there. We decided to go to the Orchard. We asked another group already headed there for directions and they acted like
they didn’t want to help us. We asked the same group what we should be doing after we FINALLY arrived at the Orchard. They had already taken the corner that everyone was supposed to be working on. We waded around a field with NO direction and very few tools. There wasn’t enough for everyone to do. I would attend again, but would enjoy a site lead at the garden AND orchard. If the students were the site lead, they should have an adult there, as they helped us little to none. As much as we would have loved to talk to others and mingle, we didn’t feel welcome to do so, leading us to leave the Orchard, walk back to the garden, and participate in a street clean up around the area.
