This volunteer event was very rewarding and fun. Showing gratitude towards healthcare workers is hugely important given the circumstances that we've all experienced in the last year. Also, bringing happiness to children that may not have much interaction while in a hospital was very heartwarming.
3 to 4 stars. The event was great, no doubt, and will relieve tremendous stress on so many in need. However, as stated above I believe that it was, perhaps, not quite publicized as broadly as it may have been and may have led to an underperformance. I would be interested in seeing if there is any kind of metric that is used to determine the optimal amount of publicity.
But, it was well hosted. The event was well organized, had the right amount of reminder emails, was a benison to many in need. I met many wonderful people and am excited for the opportunity to volunteer again.
Maybe a bit more promotion of the event might have helped with onsite donations. But I still thought all the volunteers and workers did a wonderful job!
Had a great experience and hope to volunteer at DUG again soon!
