I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the food bank, this was my first time participating in a food bank, so I wasn't sure what to expect. First we made bags with different Starbucks sandwiches and pastries, then we brought it out to the main floor. Once all of the starbucks foods were packed and stocked, I went on to start helping customers baggage their groceries, and load them into their cars. It was fun to get to talk to the customers and to be able to see who you're directly helping.

I enjoyed volunteering at the Atlanta Community Food Bank because I felt like i had positively impacted local communities by helping them fight food insecurity. In total, we packed about 7,000 pounds of food to distribute, which was impactful.

I worked with my peers to help sort different food items into different bins. We packaged things like food, cleaning products, hygiene products, baby products etc. After doing so, we would weigh them with a weight machine. Overall, I enjoyed my experience.

It was great experience, knowing the impact that I made with ending hunger, we packed over 4000 meals.

I had a wonderful time assisting in curbside pick up of food for families of the community. We also assisted in creating future appointments to pick up food. All in all, my experience at the Atlanta Community Food Bank was wonderful and I definitely plan on returning!
