Before attending the Festival Beach Community Garden, I was unaware of the lack of gardens in the city of Austin. Food deserts invaded south of I35. I am extremely glad I got to attend for I am well informed and the company was great. Everyone there was so kind, I simply cannot wait to go back!

This was my first time gardening and it was fun! I met great people and worked together to rake the road or loosen the dirt to get rid of the weed. Also there were cookies and pizza served when you were tired! I would like to come next time!
