2023 Rise Together at New Orleans (November 19-23)

It was great seeing all the different ways we were able to impact the community in New Orleans, and I particularly enjoyed the very different types of volunteering we did. It was a good mix of everything, which means each new challenge is a surprise to us all.

Activities were very well organized. I totally enjoyed all volunteer activities with all my new and old friends .Looking forward to next year!

This New Orleans trip was one that was fun and eye opening for me, so much so that I regret not signing up last year. This trip has produced a lot of positive reflection for me. I thoroughly enjoyed helping out at all 4 volunteering sites we went to, although upon reflection I could have contributed more. On the bus ride to the NBA game, Ed asked me what my passion was, a question I have been giving lots of thought to. Ironically, four years ago, my answer would have been basketball. This trip has produced so many small yet meaningful memories that I will cherish forever. Additionally, I am thankful for the chance to have participated on the trip this year, and would love to have the same opportunity next year, hoping to do better than I did this year!
