Our instructor Chuck was very informative, and the walk was refreshing. We were able to see homelessness first-hand and treat them with snack. I now have a different outlook on people experiencing homelessness.

It's ironic because before I went on this walk with Safehouse, I initially thought that we were just going to be feeding the homeless. What we did instead is learn about, connect with, and hand out a few snacks to people who were experiencing homelessness. There is a deep rewiring in my brain after this event that has led me to view not only those who don't have a home differently, but just anyone and everyone in general. Every person should go on one of these walks and experience this, it was amazing.
