I enjoyed serving my community
The work was sometimes tedious, but very rarely strenuous. Between stacking boxes to be used for the next week's food pantry, counting out a few hundred plastic bags, sorting through egg cartons to remove the damaged shells, and stacking several dolly-worths of bread, I really didn't mind the work. The other volunteers and regulars were friendly and helpful, and we were generously offered food and drink of our choosing. If you ever plan on volunteering here, be ready for a dozen little chores and remember to wear very comfortable shoes.
I had a good time working and creating meals to those who need them. Everyone there was very nice and all had great advice.
wonderful experience
Very different to anything iv ever done!
