This is the second time I have volunteered at Leadville and both times I have found great value in doing so. Its really fun to see the race from a different angle and be able to give back to the sport. This year I race marshaled at the 9 and 9D intersection which allowed me time in the morning to hold one of the corral signs at the start. The energy at the start is infectious and an experience unlike any other race. I look forward to coming back and being a part of it again.

It was amazing to witness the perseverance of the racers today. Many of them thanked us for volunteering for such a wonderful event.
