Secure the Bag: Technology

I found the activity to be quite enjoyable and incredibly enlightening. It provided me with valuable insights that I sincerely appreciate. This is particularly important to me because it underscores the need for humans to adapt and evolve in response to the constantly changing world around us.

I found the information given at the Secure the Bag:The Whole World at my Fingertips: Using Technology to Your Advantage presentation/zoom meeting very valuable. In this meeting, I realized that we don't know how much technology affects people positively and negatively. Also I learned that as technology continuously innovates it continues to impact or enhance our everyday lives.

I truly enjoyed this discussion, I became pretty passionate about the topic/ questions that were being asked. I believe technology can have so many benefits for enhancing our knowledge, but also can be detrimental to self-confidence. Because of this, it is important to be grounded and have balance. Use technology for the right reasons.

Thoughtful Reflection/Community Service Prompt (apply what you learned from the workshop to a community service activity you’ve completed) How did your community service utilize technology? Are there any improvements you would make?

I found the event to be very informative and eye-opening to an issue that many don't realize is a pressing issue. We also talked about in small groups how the government can use technology to survey and analyze data and use it to improve resources. There were a lot of topics that were highlighted I hadn't thought about, especially pertaining to college students, and I am now more interested in the topic and hope to engage in more programs around it.
