ROT Weekly Grocery Distribution 2025

I was very happy to serve and distribute food with the community!

It was a great experience giving food to the community, but it felt like organized chaos. In a way where they had roles for the people to do, but wouldn’t explain how to do them and would get upset when you did something wrong.

This was my first time volunteering ever, and the staff and volunteers at Reflection of Trinity were so nice and welcoming. The operations at Reflection of Trinity are very organized, and while everyone is super busy, they made me feel comfortable and supported throughout my volunteer hours. I was assigned to pack produce bags throughout the day, which I surprisingly enjoyed! I also met several other first-time volunteers, as well as some who had been coming for over a year. Each person had a different reason for being there, but we were all working toward a shared goal and everyone has a great attitude!

This organization’s mission is truly inspiring, and the passion and hard work of the staff and volunteers is easy to see. You can tell how much everyone enjoys being part of it and why so many people come back every Saturday. I hope that I can find time to come back in the future and volunteer again!
