GSU Days of Service: Atlanta Zoo

This volunteer opportunity was a perfect way to blend my love of nature and animals while assisting public engagement and event management. The zoo staff were accommodating and friendly. All questions were genuinely answered and we even had enough time to explore the zoo in its - almost - entirety. A great day to serve the community once again!

I definitely had the best time volunteering at the zoo! It was my first time to ever go, and to also be doing something meaningful while having a great experience was awesome. This encourages me to do some more volunteering on my own, since this will also lean into my career in the future too.
The only feedback I would have is being there on time. I drove myself to the event and waited with our guide for over an hour waiting for the main group. Poor lady had no idea what was happening until I mentioned it myself, since I was keeping contact with some people in the van.

Otherwise I had an awesome time thank you for the opportunity!

This was a great experience for me! Supporting wildlife preservation is a very significant objective which we all should have! I hope to help out in the future for similar service opportunities! Thank you so much!
