Cards for a Cause with Year of the UK

Although I completed this service for academic credit, I found true joy in writing meaningful cards to someone out there who hopefully finds joy from it. The people who created this volunteer service were very kind and I am glad to have had this experience. I plan on doing more in regards to volunteering because of today’s experience!

We spent our time writing thank you cards and words of encouragement to either volunteers at La Amistad or seniors at Cobb County Seniors Services. La Amistad an Atlanta-based nonprofit that aims to provide life-long self sufficiency to Latino families through tutoring, English classes, afterschool programs, and more. Cobb County Seniors Services is a department in the Cobb County government that focuses on the wellbeing of seniors and promotes healthy living and aging.
