Creating "no-sew" blankets for the Atlanta Metro Furniture Bank was an enlightening experience. As someone who is not from this area, I never knew that such service (the Furniture Bank) existed. I find it very honorable that the Atlanta Metro area has support for their population that is experiencing housing disparities. Creating the blankets were harder than I expected, but it's nothing compared to the insecurity that comes with a lack of proper housing. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and learning about what the Furniture Bank does, their mission, how they help their community and how I can help my new community.
