Meal Prep at The Salvation Army Shelter – Atlanta

Today was my busiest, but most efficient day. I did so many different things like defrosting, washing, seasoning, and marinating chicken wings, making chili, doing the dishes, organizing the freezer, and serving of course. While serving, we didn't even blink. It was the best, most efficient meal serving time that I've been there. Today was definitely the best day so far.

Today was different. When I got there a whole group of 12 had just gotten there so they had nothing to do. There were just so many people there that some of them were just standing around. Since I have been there a lot and the cook knows me and trusts me, I was able to find a job quickly. Then at 1 their shift ended, so it was back to normal. It was actually much easier once all the people were gone. Work wise and experience wise it was more of the same as the other days.
