Panther Community PLUNGE

Join our on campus project- Panther Packs! We will be volunteering in teams to make 3,000 snack packs for local youth that are experiencing food insecurity. Our Panther Packs are distributed to local elementary schools and after school programs, to be given to children  in need. 

Check in: 9am-9:45am

Project: 10am-1pm

Lunch and Reflection: 1-2pm  

*What is food insecurity? Food insecurity refers to USDA's measure of lack of access, at times, to enough food for an active, healthy life for an active, healthy life for all household members and limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate foods.

*Are children in Georgia food insecure? In Georgia, 18.4% (1 in five) are considered food insecure.
