It was amazing to see how the community united around lung cancer and its survivors especially considering I’ve never been as exposed to the effects of lung cancer and more. I was glad to be able to work with the community and kids specifically to develop more personal connections.

Through this service opportunity, I was thankfully able to contribute to A Simple Gesture's mission of addressing and filling in the gap of food insecurity! I also made more meaningful connections through this service event.
Engaging with families through community-building activities and contributing to filling the gap of food insecurity was such a pleasure to do alongside my pre-law Aggies. This service experience truly allowed me to contribute to community on a more personal and genuine level. I also enjoyed learning more about SimpleWay's mission.
Yet another amazing and impactful service event with Noble Brothers & Sisters! I deeply enjoyed contributing to the packing of over 165 sandwiches, which will be given to local shelters. Feeding our unhoused population is such an important mission, and doing that alongside my fellow Aggies reminded me of its true gravity!
I deeply enjoyed my first official volunteer engagement with OLCE. Registering students to vote in a fast-paced environment further educated me on the importance of staying informed about policy and even the smallest rules to ensure the votes and registrations of people like NC A&T students are not disenfranchised or thrown out. However, I was also given a lot more hope and momentum to keep promoting civic engagement through seeing how students interacted with materials and registered to vote.
Deeply enjoyed my first service event with Noble Brothers & Sisters! Learning more about the impact of Backpack Beginnings in my Greensboro community was very meaningful and eye opening. Contributing to their impact alongside my noble brothers & sisters for the first of many more times was an honor.
Serving at Greenhouse Church was a sweet and humbling experience. The environment was very grounding and kind. Serving alongside my fellow Honors students for the first time was special to me as well. I am grateful to have contributed to the communal impact of the church through helping care for the space!
