    Gather and Garden at AARC

There were more volunteers than work needed to be performed. Almost 20 volunteers to weed 2 small garden beds without plans for replanting. Not great direction for where to put straw bedding or weeds. Seems like they wanted to do more of an interactive gardening educational than a park improvement effort. We only stayed 30 minutes and then went to Westenfield Neighborhood Park Clean-up, where there was a LOT of work and not enough volunteers.

Spring Cleaning at Lamplight Community Garden

Great project coordination, lots of tasks for everyone to find what works best for them. All needed tools were available. Project leads encouraged breaks and provided snacks and water. Overall a really fulfilling volunteer event.
