Through this experience, I was able to help safely transport my fellow peers to their rooms. It felt good to actually give back being that I always use Sure Walk when I have been out studying late at night.

Impacts
I participated in sort of like a case study. We talked a lot about the effects of taking dual credit classes and how they have impacted our lives for the good or bad. We were able to voice our opinions to give light to what happens in a dual credit environment, and it was interesting to hear all the many variations in learning and teaching styles.
The homeless and impoverished population here in Austin is exorbitant. Through Micah 6, I was able to really give back and really be grateful for everything that I have in this life because so many people in this world are starving. I went from 8:30 until about 11:30 and I was stationed in the produce section. I bagged onions, beets, tomatoes, and more. I assisted in the cleaning of the of the area for the shoppers as well. When the shoppers started to file in,most were elderly, so I helped them select the bag of onions of beets they wanted and the greens they wanted. Since there were a lot of volunteers, everyone had a station and was able to help the shoppers move through the pantry efficiently. All in all, I will be going back to Micah 6.
Volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club was an amazing experience for me, and it was so much fun. The kids loved us, only because we were older and looked "cool." We did artwork with the kids where painted a piece of paper one color and splatted it with every other color. I assisted with the distribution of the paint to the tables, helped the kids finishing their paintings so that they could dry, and I helped with the clean up since paint was everywhere. After we watched a movie with the kids and played a few games of volleyball with some of the older kids. It felt good to help kids who seemed to have rough living circumstances and tough lives, so I would definitely go back to the Boys and Girls club.
