    National Trails Day
    Cat Enrichment

It was a very busy holiday at AAC! I spent a lot of time making sure everyone had food, water, toys, and clean litter boxes.

Also spent some time with Lark and Little Kitty, who were attempting to out-meow each other for attention. Spent some time grooming Gordo and hanging out with Kali. Sebastian was feeling particularly playful as well.

Spent a lot of time with the darling Fitzwilly (before he went to foster). He's such a sweet boy who loves to be groomed!

Mackeral is also very sweet and loves human attention!

I spent some more time with some familiar faces as yesterday (including my shy favorites: Cheetah, Panther, and Fitzwilly), but also got to know some new cats.

I tried to get new, super scared girls Tokyo, Japan, and Asia to come out and eat a few treats, but not much luck there. Hopefully they'll settle in soon.

I also spent some nice quality time with Xafi, who had her spay surgery yesterday. She was so sweet today! She likes to give you face rubs with her own face.

Great way to start the weekend!

As always, it's great to see the cats!

I spent some time grooming both Cranberry and Fitzwilly (who's so shy and sweet).

It was also good to see Cheetah and Panther are coming out of their shells! I hadn't seen them for awhile, so it makes me happy that they're more approachable now.

I also spent some time with some cats in F. All in all, a great Thursday afternoon!

Really got to spend some time in F and H. It had been a few weeks since I had last been in, and it was so great to see Cheetah and Panther come out of their shells some!

Poor, scared Fitzwilly had just come in that day, so I tried to convince him to eat or drink - no success there, but he seemed to appreciate someone speaking to him softly.

I also spent some time with Handsome Hunter and scared Mikey right above Fitzwilly. Hunter is very friendly and loves attention.

It was a slow night, so it was nice to be able to spend some quality time with the cats. :)

What a great way to end the week! Friday evenings are a pretty great time to volunteer if you are really looking for some quality time with the animals.

I was here the night before, so there wasn't too much change in the roster - a few cats adopted, a few new ones.

I spent a lot of time with super shy Cheetah, who had been moved to a group room. He's got no problem being petted or having his chin scratched, but you definitely have to go to him - he will not go to you. He's a very sweet boy, though.

I spent some nice quality time with the cats in F and H. I also met another volunteer; it was nice to have some company.

Met lots of new, cute cats, and saw some familiar faces. Everyone in F and H was fed dinner.

I also got to see Ivan/Anubis adopted! I'm glad he's found a home!
