At Las Palmas Community Center I assisted in prepping lunch trays for the senior citizens, and also helped them make more than 60 dozens of tamales for their Christmas dinner. After the events were over I helped the staff clean silverware and trays and sweep the floors. I really enjoyed working with the staff and interacting with the seniors.

I volunteered with the ACE mentor program to encourage high school students on the professions od architecture, construction, and engineering. It was very interesting learning about other fields outside of architecture and how they all co-exist in the workforce, as well as getting to know all the eager students that were a part of the program.
During Chinati weekend in Marfa, Tx, my design classmates and I from UT Austin School of Architecture volunteered as docents for the Chinati Foundation. On Saturday I volunteered in Donald Judd's 100 Aluminum Mill Boxes in an afternoon shift from 12:00pm - 3:00pm. And on Sunday I volunteered at Dan Flavin's Art Instillation from 9am - 12:00pm.
My time volunteering at the trail of lights was very enjoyable. The people that I got to work with were very enthusiastic. Being able to assist the visitors share their holiday flipbooks was fun.
