Coming from an all-girls school, I felt passionate about this volunteer opportunity. I loved giving affirming words to young girls!
Teaching assistant for Dr. Megan Ringel’s research method class. Responsibilities included attending class, taking attendance, helping students during lab time, holding office hours, exam review sessions, leading a mini-lesson on SPSS, assisting with logistics for students’ experiment projects, providing feedback, completing internship product. Excellent learning experience!
Planned, organized, lead, implemented, facilitated and assessed the events of Office of Community Engagement. Rewarding experience! Loved working with my team!
Being part of the Registration Subcommittee was a great way to be involved with my St.Edward's community. Although COVID-19 canceled the event, I found the process of preparation rewarding!
Mile High Poverty, Denver, CO. Addressing urban poverty hits close to home, especially with the gentrification in Austin displacing traditionally marginalized communities. This experience was rewarding because our group was about to participate in several organizations, from a local food bank to a retirement home, there was always something new!
