Got a lot of information about dogs, hardly anything about cats. The orientation leader was obviously not a cat person. Still, some of us are and that was the portion I was interested in. I felt like this was kind of a waste of time, especially when the presenter said we'd get the same information again in another orientation after we pass our background check. I took off work for this. Should be less formal if you are just giving an overview. Maybe a handout and have people take their own tour first, then more formal after okay'd to be a volunteer after the background check.
